This year’s race was just as exciting as the other one in 2012. In the last 2 days everyone who came here could see a lot of interesting, shocking, breath-taking and fascinating heats, semi-finals and finals. There was no question about that why the audience was so satisfied with the race. Although, there were a lot of new rules for this year’s Championship, most of the drivers and the experience were just the same. Maybe the biggest “miracle” was Timy Hansen’s winning as this was his first time to try Nyirád’s circuit, but he did so well!

All the heats are done, so now we are waiting for the semi-finals. Today, the Hugarians did their bests, as Harsányi Zoltán, Mózer Attila, Vass Zoltán (SuperCars), Luigi and Bánkuti Gábor (Super1600) will be there in the semi-finals, so will Petter Solberg. After the first 4 heats, 12 drivers can continue the race. Namely, Davy Jeanney, Timur Timerzyanov, Timmy Hansen, Mats Lysen, Anton Marklund, Alexander Hvaal, Knut Ove Borseth, Petter Solberg, Harsányi Zoltán, Peter Hedström, Liam Doran and Mózer Attila from the SuperCars category. Because of Doran’s accident, Vass Zoltán will be the 12th driver.

It’s worth the time and the money to come to Nyirád already on Saturday, because these people could see a lot of incredible “movements” from the drivers, and the race itself was really entertaining, too! Hungarians could be extremely happy as Zoltán Harsányi won his first heat, and then in the second one he was finished in front of Petter Solberg! He must have used some magic, as on Monday our 7 -time Hungarian Champion was in Máriapócs in a great trouble as his engine had “exploded”. The true is, Petter had some problems at one corner, but this does not mean that Harsányi wasn’t great today!

Although Petter Solberg, the World Rally Champion Superstar, has never been in Nyirádi, he found out the circuit tricks soon. Not only the tricks, but he won today’s free practice, too. His time was 46:481. Fortunately, the Hungarian drivers also started well, as Zoltán Harsányi and Zoltán Vass finished the prectice the European Championship title defenser Timur Timerzsanov. They got the 10th and 11th places.
